space Highlights of the Semi-Annual Results for Fiscal Year 2005
(Year ending March 31, 2005)

space Overview
Economic growth remained firm in the global economy during the first half of fiscal 2004, despite concerns about a slowdown in the United States. In the People¡Çs Republic of China (PRC), growth remained brisk despite administrative efforts to cool the country¡Çs overheating economy, and a trend of gradual improvement also reached the European economy. In Japan, an improvement in corporate earnings was followed by growth in manufacturing and exports, and capital investment and consumer spending increased as the basis of a transition to gradual improvement.

Under these circumstances, the Sanoh Group made strong efforts to increase sales of our main products: tubular products for automotive and transportation equipment and plastic automotive parts. In addition, we coordinated sales promotions utilizing our corporate network of subsidiaries and affiliated companies both at home and abroad.
