Sanoh's
Ni-MH (nickel metal hydride) battery was developed to achieve increased output,
increased durability, and improved environmental suitability.
Sanoh has embarked on a battery recycle system to efficiently utilize limited
resources.
Sanoh's Ni-MH Batteries have been adopted for use in following various fields.
- Lightweight humanoid robot "ASIMO" by Honda Motor Co., Ltd.
- Electric motor-assisted bicycle "Step Compo"by Honda Motor Co., Ltd.
- Electric motor-assisted bicycle "Intelligent Bike" by Sunstar Engineering Inc.
- Electric motor-assist attachment unit "Intelligent Bike Kit" by Sunstar Engineering Inc.
- Electric bicycle "Folding Mini" by EV Global Motors Inc.
- Portable battery-assisted fishing reel "Super Nickel 7000C"by Daiwa Seiko, Inc.
- Motorizing units for wheelchairs "Rakustar" by Ishikarizouki Co., Ltd.
Sanoh is working to develop Ni-MH batteries with further improved output performance
and suitability for commercial production. We will continue to make aggressive
efforts to develop new application areas and expand the market for Ni-MH batteries. |

- Small internal resistance allows exceptional electric discharge
- It is cadmium-free and therefore emits zero cadmium pollution
- We have developed a technique to recycle hydrogen storage alloys
- Simple charging process
- Ni-MH batteries have the same 1.2V/cell voltage as standard Ni-Cd batteries, yet a capacity 1.3 times greater, achieving a greater charging cycle life span.
